DES MOINES, Iowa — After a campuswide movement to bring rapper Drake to Drake University in Des Moines, the hip-hop artist alluded to accepting the invitation when he posted “I’mma pull up on ya.”

As it turned out early Wednesday, he held true to his promise.

Des Moines television station KCCI reports that Drake made an impromptu appearance on campus, posting several pictures to his Instagram account, @champagnepapi.

Drake had performed the night before at Wells Fargo Arena, donning a Drake University jacket and jersey.

The “Hotline Bling” artist also posted videos outside the Kappa Kappa Gamma and Kappa Alpha Theta sorority houses when he stopped by “Greek Street,” though it appeared no one inside the houses knew he was there.

As he left Iowa, he captioned one of his photos: “IOWA I WILL BE BACK EVERY TOUR.”
