PELLA, Iowa – The men’s and women’s track and field teams opened up the indoor season on Saturday in Pella, competing in the Dutch Holiday Preview.

The men were led by Dylan Kalinay, who finished 3rd/25 in the 60-meter hurdles (8.69 seconds), and Isaac Frazier, who placed 3rd/15 in the high jump (1.95m), as they placed 7th/12 teams.

The women were 12th/13 squads, competing against Division II, Division III and NAIA schools from the Midwest. Elizabeth Burgus placed 7th/27 in the 300-meter dash at 44.46, the best individual performance amongst the women on the day.

Other Top Individual Finishes

Kalinay also finished 6th/35 in the 60-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 7.19 seconds, .17 seconds behind first place Tyrell Hemingway from Graceland.

Audrey Lovan ran the 60-meter dash in 8.42 to take 19th/48 for the Storm.

Track and Field has a big break from competition, not getting back on the track until Jan. 23 at the Cornell Invite in Mount Vernon
