INDIANOLA, IA – Women’s tennis (3-2, 1-1 IIAC) looked to bounce back from their 8-1 loss to Graceland earlier this week in an important doubleheader against IIAC rivals, Loras College (2-3, 2-0 IIAC) and University of Dubuque (1-2, 0-2 IIAC), Saturday.

Simpson fell to Loras 3-6 in the first match of the day, dropping 2 of 3 in doubles and only scratching out 2 victories in singles.

Kelli Ehrhardt earned a 6-3, 6-1 individual victory while freshman Cassidy Bierbrodt continued to impress with a 6-2, 6-2 win.

In hopes of avoiding losing 3 straight team losses, Simpson had to buckle down against Dubuque in match two of the day.

The Storm got off to a good start against the Spartans by taking 2 of 3 in doubles.

4 of 6 of the singles matches went to Simpson, giving the Storm a 6-3 collective victory over the Spartans.

Kelli Ehrhardt, Kelli Greiner, Cassidy Bierbrodt, and Jill Archueser all contributed to the cause with individual victories.

The women’s tennis team will continue their homestand against Grandview University (0-3) on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
