Trent Lindenman leads Simpson to 2nd place finish at Dubuque Invitational

The Simpson men’s golf team shot a collective 618 (+58) to finish 2nd at the Dubuque Invitational this weekend. Only Clarke University finished ahead of the Storm as they shot a tournament low 52 over par at 612 shots.

Trent Lindenman lead the way for Simpson and all other golfers, finishing first overall by shooting a 141 over two rounds of golf, only one over par. Dubuque brings out the magic in Lindenman, as he also finished in first place earlier in the month at the Loras Invitational in Dubuque.

Andy Hutchins was the next highest finisher for Simpson, shooting a 157 (+17). Hutchins placed 14th. Hutchins and Lindenman were the best one-two duo of the tournament, shooting a combined +18. Not even Clarke University’s top two finished better, as they shot 24 over par.

Other Storm finishers included:

Shaan Desai: 158 (+18) – 16th overall

Nathan Molstead: 162 (+22) – T-24th overall

Korbin Sesker: 170 (+30) – 32nd overall

Simpson gets their only opportunity to play in Indianola this Wednesday at 10 a.m. as they host the Simpson Invitational at the Indianola Country Club.
