Women’s Soccer Hangs With 1st Place Dubuque, But Fall 3-1

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Women’s soccer lost its fifth straight Saturday as they dropped a 3-1 match to first place Dubuque (14-4, 5-1 IIAC).

A pair of Liz Frazier goals was all the Spartans really needed as Frazier scored the game’s opening goal in the 17th minute followed by what was the game winner in the 36th minute.

Simpson (2-15-1, 0-5-1) finally got on the board in the 85th minute from a Casey Reisen score, the freshman from Dubuque’s second goal on the season.

Women’s soccer will close out its season on Tuesday, Oct. 28 as they play host to Central College at 5 p.m. Simpson’s seniors will be recognized following the game.
