STORM LAKE, Iowa – The Storm volleyball team ran into an efficient Buena Vista squad who racked up a blistering .271 kill percentage en route to a 3-0 victory (25-19, 25-22, 25-23) over Simpson Wednesday.

Buena Vista’s Maddie Bardole put away a game-high 17 kills as Laura Barry served up 42 assists on the Beaver’s way to their 14th victory of the season (14-8, 2-1 IIAC).

Simpson (8-9, 1-2 IIAC) on the other hand had a difficult time getting things going. The Storm only had a .171 kill percentage while only producing a collective 37-team points. Tabitha Blaser led the Storm with 12 kills and a .312 kills percentage. Katie Kieffer had another 20+ assist night with 23, while Freshman Elisa Wildy lead the Storm with 13 digs.

Simpson will take the weekend off before getting a chance to return to .500 on the year as the head to the University of Dubuque on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
