Freshman Aaron Smith won Simpson College men’s tennis their lone singles match at No. 5, 7-6 (5), 6-2 although Cornell College (3-8) swept the rest of singles play on their way to a 7-2 victory in Indianola last Saturday.

Freshman Connor Barnard and sophomore Gabe Dubberke won 8-2 at No. 3 doubles for the other win for Simpson (3-10).

Barnard lost a tough, 7-5, 7-5 match at No. 2 singles, falling to 7-7 on the year, although his seven wins are best on the team.

The Storm play again on Apr. 11 in a doubleheader with Loras College and the University of Dubuque.
