GREEN LAKE, Wis. – Senior Trent Lindenman continued to anchor the Simpson men’s golf team at the Midwest Classic between Friday, Sept. 25 and 26.

Lindenman shot a 147, 3-over, to finish tied for fifth in the field of 163 golfers, propelling the Storm to finish tied for seventh out of 31 teams – Simpson’s third top ten finish of the fall.

As a team the Storm shot a 626, 50-over, while Milikin University led the pack with a 24-over. The field was comprised of Division III from the IIAC, MIAC, WIAC, NACC, CCIW, SLIAC and Midwest Conference.

Loras and Coe were the only other Iowa Conference competitors in the meet. The Duhawks placed 15th while the Kohawks took 25th at the Golf Courses of Lawsonia.

Individually, St. Mary’s University’s Blake Westerberg finished first, shooting the only under par score at a 143. Trey Hewuse of UW-Stout was only one stroke worse to take second.

Korbin Sesker shot 12-over at 156 to take tied for 30th as Simpson’s next best performer.

The Storm’s fall season finishes up at home on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at the Indianola Country Club.
