Bushnell travels, reads in spare time

Jennifer Bushnell, visiting instructor of religion, is new to Simpson this year. Bushnell graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in agricultural journalism. She wanted to go into a career where she could write about science for newspapers and magazines, so after graduation she worked in Wisconsin as a newspaper reporter.Bushnell then decided to go to graduate school. She took a class on the Bible and really enjoyed it. She then graduated with a master’s degree in Religious Studies at St. John’s University in Minnesota.Bushnell is currently working on her doctorate on American Religious History from Vanderbilt University.When the position at Simpson was offered, she decided that it would be nice to be closer to her family in St. Paul, Minn.In her free time, Bushnell likes to read mystery novels and watch “CSI” and “Law and Order: SVU.” She also likes to travel.
