The Storm, looking to stay defeated was going to have their hands full Wednesday night as they faced one of the premier teams in the NAIA this year, Grand View.

The Storm who came into tonight’s match with a perfect record of 7-0 were playing a feisty Grand View team who has a 5-2 record overall. Much like the previous game for the Storm against Wheaton, it was going to take a team effort to pull out a victory.

After a hard fought battle they came away with a win on the road beating Grand View by a score of 67-50 improving to 8-0.

The Storm starting out on a tear as they quickly got up by a score of 20-6. However, this commanding lead did not last long as Grand View had a run of their own up their sleeves. The Vikings ended up closing the first half on a 23-10 run making the score 30-29 at half, making the Storm a little more uncomfortable than they would have liked to be.

In the second half the Storm bounced back by going on a run of their own to build up their once strong lead. Defense was much stronger and they were not going to let the Vikings back into the game. After the Vikings racked up several technical the game seemed well in the hands of the Storm. The offense picked up the rest of the way until the game was out of reach, in which the reserves checked in for the rest of the game.

The Storm look to continue their streak as they play again next Sat., Dec. 15, where they will face Wisconsin River Falls. Tip off for the match will be at 3 p.m.
