Joe Walt passed away

Joe Walt passed away last night. Joe was a history professor from 1955-1994, college historian and author of Beneath the Whispering Maples: The History of Simpson College. Joe was an integral part of Simpson College and will be missed greatly!

Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (807 North 15th St. Indianola) with burial following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Indianola. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Friday January 4 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.
A Celebration of Life Service is being planned for Wednesday, January 16, at 1:30 in Smith Chapel.
