Go on, be bad! Take an hour or two to sit back, set down the homework, make your super-classy microwave popcorn and take time to watch some of these new and returning TV shows. We all know you’re done binge-watching your favorite show on Netflix, time to move on to the next!

If you’re in the mood to shake off some stress with laughter, this fall is bringing two new comedies, each featuring SNL alums. FOX’s Mulaney and NBC’s Marry Me will both premier t!his month.

Mulaney premiers Oct. 5 and stars John Mulaney, stand up comedian and former writer for SNL. In traditional sitcom format, the show centers on comedian (you guessed it) John Mulaney and his attempts to make his big break. The show also stars former SNL cast member Nasim Pedrad. Watch the show because of Mulaney’s stellar stand-up record, stay because Martin Short plays his boss, making this show one big SNL love-fest. You can’t get much better than t!hat.

NBC’s Marry Me stars Happy Endings and SNL actress Casey Wilson. The cancellation of Happy Endings hit fans hard, but creator David Caspe has created this promising rom-com that follows the story of a couple and their rocky road through engagement. Marry Me premiers Oct. 14.

In the mood for something a little more serious? There’s plenty of new gasp-worthy shows for you to enjoy. Although these shows have already premiered, we all know we need “sick days” every once in a while, so use that time to catch up on these programs.

On Sept. 22, FOX gave us the premier of Gotham, a new show obviously centered around the Batman franchise. Gotham follows Ben McKenzie as commissioner Gordon during his first years at the police force. Although it is not centered around the masked vigilante we’ve come to know and love, it will show the backstory and consequences of the murder of Bruce Wayne’s parents. Our favorite villains including The Riddler, The Penguin and Catwoman will also be making appearances.

Speaking of gasp-worthy, no one does it better than Shonda Rhimes. creator of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal, Rhimes works as executive producer on new ABC drama, How to Get Away with Murder. The new drama stars Viola Davis as a criminal law professor who becomes involved in a murder mystery with her students. Having watched her other shows, there’s no doubt that Rhimes will give us no shortage on plot twists and “OMG” moments. How to Get Away with Murder premiered Sept. 25 and airs Thursdays at 10 p.m.
