INDIANOLA, Iowa – Women’s tennis saw their IIAC record drop below .500 for the regular season as Wartburg and Luther both blanked the Storm 9-0 on Saturday.

Simpson fell to the Knights (4-5, 3-3) and the Norse (8-2, 5-1) in straight sets in all singles and doubles play.

Despite being swept on the final day of regular season play, the Storm (5-6, 3-4) have qualified for IIAC Tournament play on Oct. 9-10.

Simpson is currently a half a match behind Wartburg for fourth place. The Storm would fall no lower than fifth place if the Knights defeat Loras on Tuesday.
