Simpson defeated Central 28-21 for the first time since 1997.Sophomore Kurt Hanna caught a 41-yard pass from senior quarterbackMike Donnenwerth on the opening drive of the game.
Senior Mike Tiedeman also scored in the first quarter with a71-yard touchdown.
The Storm went for the two-point conversion with a toss fromDonnenwerth to sophomore Dusty Kain and then Kain back toDonnenwerth in the endzone.
Simpson led at the half 17-7. Donnenwerth threw the thirdtouchdown pass of the day in the third quarter, marking the 44thtouchdown in his career and breaking a Simpson record.
Senior Randal Schultz led the Storm defense for the day witheight tackles and a sack.
Simpson improved its record to 4-0.
