Cross country alumni and friends meet

Simpson will be sponsoring a 5k and two mile cross country raceon Saturday, Oct. 25 at 8 a.m. in Pickard Park. Anyone wishing toparticipate is welcome. For questions regarding the race call ErinBresnan at 515-961-1640. Entry fee is $8.00 on the day of the racefor students. Registration will be from 7:15-7:45 a.m. under theRed and Gold tent. All participants receive a free t-shirt; juiceand doughnuts will be available after the race.

Simpson music presents “The Magic Flute”

As part of Simpson’s homecoming activities, The Music Departmentwill present Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.” The showings will be inPote Theater on Friday and Saturday Oct. 24 and Oct. 25 at 7:30p.m., and the last show takes place Sunday Oct. 26, 1:30 p.m. Theproduction will be under the direction of Robert Larsen with setdesign by Steve McLean. Tickets are $15 for adults, and $10 fornon-Simpson students who are 18 years of age and under. Forinformation or to order tickets call 515-961-1637.
