Mackenzie Brightwell scouts for candy at Simpson during SafeBlock on Halloween night.

Brightwell was just one of approximately 175 children whotrick-or-treated at this year’s Safe Block.

Every year Simpson provides a safe place for children fromsurrounding areas to visit and receive candy.

All residence halls participated by decorating their floors withspooky decorations for the costumed visitors. Many halls hadcontests for the best decorated floor.

Children went from room to room to get candy. Rooms that hadsigned up were given candy to hand out to thetrick-or-treaters.

The event was sponsored by the Residence Life Special EventsCommittee.
