Athletic Training Education Program receives accreditation
This October, the Simpson College Athletic Training EducationProgram recently received accreditation from the Commission onAccreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) inconjunction with the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programsin Athletic Training.
The accreditation ensures students with an athletic trainingmajor will be able to fulfill eligibility requirements for thenational exam by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Boardof Certification.
CAAHEP is the largest programmatic/specialized accreditor in thehealth science field. In collaboration with its Committees onAccreditation, CAAHEP reviews and accredits more than 2000educational programs in 21 health science occupations across theUnited States and Canada.
Theatre Simpson to present ‘A Very Old Man with EnormousWings’
In conjunction with the Seventh Annual Simpson College HighSchool Theatre Festival, Theatre Simpson will present A Very OldMan with Enormous Wings, written by Gabriel Garcia M����rquezand adapted by Nilo Cruz.
Showings will be held in Pote Theatre Thursday, Nov. 20 at 10a.m. and 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m.
Jennifer Ross Nostrala directs this magical tale of miracles setin a small town near the Caribbean Sea.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $7 for non-Simpson students andwill go on sale starting Monday, Nov. 10. To order call515-961-1601.
