Copy cat starts dumpster fire

It happened again: Simpson College experienced another dumpsterfire early in the morning on March 27.

This fire occurred in the dumpster at Lambda Chi Alpha at 1 a.m.Saturday morning.

According to the Indianola Police report filed by Officer NickDahl, members of the Simpson College security department put outthe blaze with a fire extinguisher, but the fire was still hot atthe time of the officer’s arrival.

Shortly after the arrival of the police department, theIndianola Fire Department arrived on the scene and extinguished thefire.

No property was damaged except for the dumpster.

The dollar value of the amount of damage done to the dumpsterwas estimated by the Indianola Police Department at $500.

No one has been charged with the crime as of yet, and there areno suspects at this time.

Three Simpson students were arrested for the previous fires oncampus, and all fires up to the most recent one have beensolved.

The Simpson College security department declined to commentregarding the fire as the police investigation is ongoing.
