Dear Kari, What the hell is “Save Susanne”?

“Save Susanne” was started by a bunch of rough and tumble students. They were tired of dancing for the man and decided to support their beloved professor, Susanne Gubanc. They went with a classic feel – signs, T-shirts and even an old fashioned sit-in. Not to sound too much like a hippie, but students protesting anything is OK in my book. Sure, there are frivolous protests every day, but to see students actually give a damn, on our usually apathetic campus, is almost a miracle in itself. Of course, maybe I’m a little bitter after spending a week last semester in Shantytown. I took some photos at the sit-in outside her appeal hearing:
