There were many reasons I decided to pledge to a sorority. My mom and my sister were both part of a sorority and I saw all the benefits they got from it. My mom’s best friends to this day are still her sorority sisters. They get together every summer.

I was still unsure if it was for me, however. I decided that I should go through recruitment and see if I enjoyed it.

The girls I met were amazing. They hooked me on our first night of recruitment. All three sorority houses have so much to offer and it was hard to make a choice.

The girls put so much time into recruitment and you could tell that they really cared about the new freshman. My main reasons for deciding at the end to pledge were mostly due to the girls I met.

I look forward to all the benefits of joining a sorority. I know that I will have a huge support system of friends who will go out of their way to help me. Being in a sorority is also a great way to stay involved in campus and participate in tons of activities with your sisters.

I am very happy that I decided to pledge to a sorority here at Simpson. It will impact me for the rest of my life.
