Simpson student Jesse Anderson died Wednesday from his battle with cystic fibrosis, Jim Hayes said. Hayes, who is Vice President for Student Development, sent a campus-wide email announcement Thursday morning.

Anderson transferred to Simpson in 2012 as an art student and remained there until last semester, Hayes said in the email. Funeral arrangements will be shared with the campus when they are available.

“Please keep his wife, Jessica, and all of his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time,” Hayes added.
