Democratic presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be coming to Simpson College next week, campaign officials announced Wednesday.

She will be speaking at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 21 in the Kent Campus Center.

Doors will open at 10 a.m.

Clinton, who has been outspoken against what she cites as potential danger posed by Republican candidates, will discuss what Iowans have at stake in the 2016 presidential election.

Clinton will also talk about her plans to create an economy for Iowan families to get ahead and stay ahead.

According to the most recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll released earlier this week, Clinton holds a 48 percent to 45 percent lead over her rival, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

With Clinton’s visit scheduled next week, all of the Democratic presidential candidates will have visited Simpson’s campus before the Iowa caucuses, which are on Feb. 1.
