Q: Where are you from?
A: Downers Grove, Illinois. It’s a suburb of Chicago.
Q: What are your majors/minors?
A: I am majoring in computer science, and I have minors in computer information systems and political science.
What is your biggest passion?
A: Solving problems. Solving important problems. Looking at problems that I think will impact the world, and that is what I am trying to do now. I am trying to look at sustainable energy and studying that. I am trying to attack that problem as a student, and that is enjoyable.
Q: What drives your passion for sustainability?
A: I have been interested in sustainability for a long time. I became very interested particularly with sustainable energy after studying abroad in Germany last May Term and looking at the issue there. I am trying to look at an individual problem; that is all one person can do.
Q: What is your favorite Simpson memory?
A: I can’t place anything on a single memory; it is all a process, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the process. I thoroughly enjoyed studying computer science and liberal arts. I thoroughly enjoyed playing football. And I thoroughly enjoyed studying abroad.
Q: What are your post-graduation plans?
A: I am still looking for a job. I will essentially only work for a sustainable energy company or an energy storage company. Otherwise, to hell with it; I am going to graduate school so I can study in my own sanctity.
