COLUMBIA, Mo. – Simpson men’s soccer play step-for-step with Westminster College on Saturday, but the Blue Jays were just one step better as the Storm (3-3-1) fell 1-0 in their third straight loss.

Westminster (5-1) got the game’s deciding goal in the 22nd minute as Tripp Sheehan set up Kyle Collins with a cross in the box, who put it away in the lower right corner of the goal.

Despite the goal, senior Zach McEntee had a good day in front of the net, making seven saves in 90 minutes of action.

Nick Joslyn put the most pressure on the Blue Jays defense, generating a team-high two shots on goal in a heated affair that had 24 combined fouls between sides.

Men’s soccer will stay in the Show-Me-State for a 1 p.m. matchup with Webster University Sunday.
