DUBUQUE, Iowa – Loras’ Katie Truesdale scored twice and the Duhawks held Simpson’s offense to only one shot as women’s soccer was handed a 3-0 loss to Loras in the Iowa Conference season opener on Saturday. 

Danielle Vujovic made it 1-0 Loras in the 24th minute before Truesdale added two insurance scores in the second half.

Zoe Seiler (1-4-0) made five saves in 90 minutes in goal as Loras outshot the Storm 21-1.

Simpson will aim to break a four-game losing and scoreless streak when it hosts Grand View at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
