CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – It’s been Wartburg dominating the field in women’s golf the last eight years, and it was no different on Friday and Saturday of this weekend as the Knights established a 41 stroke lead as they move closer to their ninth straight IIAC title at the IIAC Championships at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course. 

The Storm are in a tie for fifth place after shaving thirteen strokes of their score from round one, tying themselves with Coe College at 731 halfway through the IIAC Championships. 

Lydia Martin leads Simpson at 17th in the field of 39 golfers after shooting 31-over par for the first two days – 175 for a par-72 course.

Wartburg sits atop the individual leader board as well, having the first five of six golfers. Rochelle Beardsley is only 4-over the pace as she stands in first place.

34th – Coltyn Hunter (198, +54)

Play will continue on Friday and Saturday – Oct. 9-10 – of this weekend at Thunder Hills Golf Course in Peosta, Iowa.

Simpson will tee off in the second wave of golfers, shortly after 9 a.m.
