I’m currently watching a show on Netflix called Friday Night Lights. The show started airing on NBC in 2006. Some big-name cast members are Taylor Kitsch, Kyle Chandler, Jesse Plemons, Michal B. Jordan, and Aldis Hodge, directed by Peter Berg.

The show is based on a high school football team in a small town in Texas. Although it is a football show, it has many different life lessons that can be applied to anyone’s life. The show also does a good job of bringing in real-world problems that are still going on today. 

In the show, you can see the importance of family. You get to see two different sides of families. One is the side of family that was given to you and is shown that no matter what you do in life, your blood family will always be there.

The second side of family is the idea of making your own family. This is where football comes in for most of the players. The team can either be seen as a second family or, in some players’ cases, their only family. 

Watching the show and seeing these things made me relate it to my life and how, not just football, but any club, team or friends can be a person’s family. It also made me think of all the times I’ve done something good or bad and my blood family has been there through it.

I know some people do not like when shows bring in politics or other real-world issues because they watch shows as an escape from reality. This show does do some of that and the way they do it is not by throwing the problems at the audience. Instead, they just have scenes showing how things truly are in life and they do not take sides on issues.

One last theme I’ve seen in the show that I liked was the idea that everyone has their own life with their own problems that are not seen by other characters and those characters don’t try to understand those issues sometimes. With that, if someone does something that might upset you or make you angry, you should first try to understand why because maybe they have something going on in their life that is bothering them.

Overall, I think this show is a must-watch show that anyone can watch. It is an enjoyable show someone can just sit down and watch. For those that watch shows and compare them to other things like life or other movies, it is also a good option. 

The themes the show contains like the ones I’ve talked about are also good reasons to watch the movie. All I can say is if you are bored and haven’t seen it, give it a try. Then make your own judgment.
