“Director of Counseling Services.”

What is your educational background?

“I graduated from Simpson in 2011 with my Bachelors in psychology and Spanish, with a minor in social work. I went on to earn my Master of Social Work degree in 2016 at the University of Iowa.”

What made you choose Simpson?

“I enjoyed my time here at Simpson and wanted to be a part of a community that genuinely cares about their students and their wellbeing. This campus is big enough that it has a lot to offer students, but small enough so students are not just a number.”

What do you love about your job?

“I love watching people discover their own potential, and helping clients build skills to manage their emotions and stress. Being able to witness a client’s growth and courage in sessions is an honor and I am so grateful to be a part of it.”

What are your hobbies outside of work?

“I am an avid consumer of crime/murder documentaries. While watching, you can usually find me knitting or crocheting my latest project. My husband and I have a full house of animals– four cats, three dogs–and they also take up a good amount of free time.”
