Senior Spotlight: Riley Lonsdale

Q: What is your major?

A: Health and exercise science.

 

Q: What activities are you involved in on campus?

A: I’m involved in rugby, Tri Delta, residence life, tutoring and I’m a teacher’s assistant

 

Q: What are your plans for after college?

A:  After I graduate I will be going to Mercy College in Des Moines and I’m doing the accelerated BSN [Bachelor of Science in Nursing] program to get my nursing degree. 

 

Q: What was your favorite class while at Simpson?

A: My favorite professor is Nicci Whalen. She’s awesome and really chill. If you have a question, she’s one of the most amazing people to answer it.

 

Q: What advice would you give to upcoming seniors?

A: Enjoy it while you can because it goes quickly. Buy a coffee maker, it will save your life.

 

Q: What has been your favorite memory in your 4 years at Simpson?

A: When I first pledged as a member at Tri Delta, we went and I took the dinner bell from SAE during serenades. It was funny because I took the opportunity to take it from right under their noses.

 

Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

A: Having infinite knowledge. I’d cure cancer.

 

Q: If you could only eat one food for a whole week, what would it be?

A: It would be a tie between sweet potatoes and spinach.
