1-mile fun run, 5K to benefit domestic violence survivors

INDIANOLA, Iowa — The Warren County Coalition Against Domestic Violence will host its second annual Hope For Healing 5K Glow Run and 1-mile fun run next month.

The race on Sept. 17 will start in the north parking lot of Indianola High School and will follow the McVey Trail northward. The 1-mile fun run ($15 for a T-shirt and glow gear) starts at 7 p.m., and the 5K ($25 for a T-shirt and glow gear) starts at 7:30 p.m.

Walk-in registration for the 1-mile fun run is $20 and does not include a T-shirt; walk-in registration for the 5K is $30 and does not include a T-shirt. Glow gear and T-shirts will be available for purchase while supplies last.

All proceeds will go toward victims of domestic violence in Warren County.

The Outside Scoop will sell ice cream during the event.
