Math Symposium on campus Saturday
April 6, 2005
The second annual Midwest Undergraduate Mathematical Symposium will be held on campus this Saturday.
“This is a really good event where those of us who have a passion for math can present research that we’ve been working on all semester, or even all year,” senior Lwanda Manxodidi said.
This event is used to promote undergraduate research or other independent studies related to the mathematical sciences. At the symposium, several undergraduate students and teachers will present their research and work. Mathematics senior seminar students, along with professors and students from Iowa State University, University of Northern Iowa will be presenting.
“I’m very proud of the students’ work,” Associate Professor of Mathematics Murphy Waggoner said. “They’ve been working really hard and I’m anxious to see the results of their research.”
