Men’s Basketball (1-4, 0-1 IIAC)

L 82-63 @ Wartburg, Nov. 28: The Knights put together a 21-6 run early in the second half to extend their 10-point halftime lead. Sophomore Tim Dunlavy led the Storm with 14 points, followed by junior Matt Gilbert with 12.

Women’s Basketball (5-1, 1-0 IIAC)

W 71-44 @ Wartburg, Nov. 28: Junior Whitney Franker led the Storm with 18 points, followed by senior Ashley Katch who scored 15. Katch also pulled down 11 boards and blocked four shots.

L 93-90 @ St. Cloud State, Dec. 1: Five players scored in double figures for Simpson in their loss to the NCAA Division II Huskies. Senior Carlie Beals led the way with 17, while Franker (14 points, 11 rebounds) and Katch (13 points, 10 rebounds) recorded double-doubles.

Wrestling (0-1, 0-1 IIAC)

L 35-9 vs. No. 16 Buena Vista, Nov. 30: Three Storm wrestlers were victorious on the night. Sophomores Calvin and Curtis Barber earned decisions at 141 and 149-pounds, respectively, while freshman Colton White took the heavyweight division.

8th of 17 @ Simpson Invitiational, Dec. 1: The Barber twins were the highest finishers for the Storm, as Curtis placed second in the 149-pound division and Calvin came in fourth at 141. White (197), senior Geoff Murtha (157), freshman Sam Thielen (157) and sophomore Sam Collora (197) all went 2-2 in their respective weight classes.
