This week, Information Services implemented a campus-wide password change. Even through the best of intentions were behind the policy, it nonetheless created more than a few headaches.
The process was far from simple, and many students, despite their best efforts, ended up in the office at Info Services, being walked through the process (many after being locked out of their accounts).
Many seniors, who already have enough to complain about, found it ridiculous to be changing their account information so close to the end of their year. Even more frustrating is the fact that students are going to have to remember to change their password every 120 days.
We do understand, however, passwords must be changed for security purposes and deemed secure, and for this purpose the students just need to be inconvenienced.
