Iowa State @ Kansas

Reader’s Pick: Iowa State

“The Kansas Jayhawks have a pretty good basketball team this year. Even though they are ranked No. 2 in the country, I believe Iowa State has what I like to call the ‘eye of the tiger.’ They’re going to be desperate and clawing for a victory. I am thinking if Diante Garrett has a big game and if they are able to stop the Morris twins inside, the Cyclones can pull off a huge upset at Phog Allen Field House.” – Ty Larsen, junior

Reporter’s Pick: Kansas

Although I would like to give my love towards Iowa State, I believe this game is going to be a blow out. Iowa State will definitely rally in the beginning of the game, but Kansas will get the win.

Syracuse @ Louisville

Reader’s Pick: Syracuse

“Syracuse opened their season 18-0 and was ranked as high as third in the top 25. Playing in the Big East they face tough competition game-after- game, and more often than not come away with the win. Louisville’s guards cannot stick with S. Jardein and the fast paced offense Syracuse brings to the table and will run all over the Cardinal defense. Syracuse by 10.” – Brandon Christensen, junior

Reporter’s Pick: Syracuse

Both Syracuse and Louisville have been up and down in the Big East this year and really bipolar record wise. Syracuse was impressive in a win over then seventh ranked UCONN, and recently looks like they have enough to beat the Cardinals.

Ohio State @ Wisconsin

Reader’s Pick: Wisconsin

“Ohio State may be ranked No. 1 and undefeated so far this season, but I’m still not convinced that they are the best team in the country. They struggled on the road in January, barely beating Iowa, Northwestern, and Michigan. At the same time, Wisconsin was getting big wins at home against Purdue and Illinois, and not losing on their court in the last month. Wisconsin beats Ohio State at home.” – Brian Newton, sophomore

Reporter’s Pick: Ohio State

Ohio State is ranked No. 1 and has not lost a game yet, they are under the pressure and have to work twice as hard to maintain their winning record. Ohio State will pull through and get the win.

Baylor @ Texas

Reader’s Pick: Texas

“Texas will beat Baylor beacuse Texas has more chemistry. Plus, Texas is like a big brother to Baylor. Baylor is tough, but not tough enough to beat Texas.” – Blake Heitmeier, sophomore

Reporter’s Pick: Texas

This game will be exciting to watch because they are both good teams that work hard. In the end Texas will beat Baylor because they are the stronger team and have good chemistry.
