Spring break is just around the corner and you couldn’t be more excited for it. With all the stress that’s plagued the semester so far, you’re in need of a fantastic break. With not much time left to prepare, here are a few quick tips to get ready for your best spring break yet.

No matter where you’re traveling this year, you’ll want to go there confidently and fabulously. In order to be your best self, you’ll need to look your best. Whether this means getting a nice base tan before hitting the beach or picking up a few new items for your wardrobe, a little more effort will go a long way. For those looking to go the extra mile, eating right and being healthy this week will make you feel so much better by the time you’re ready to leave campus. Incorporate more water and vitamin C into your diet for an instant health boost.

However, if you’re really going far for break, saving money might be the most important way to prepare. Hide your wallet this week so you won’t be tempted to spend any money. If you sincerely think you need to buy something, write it down on a piece of paper and wait a full 24 hours. If you still feel you need it after a full day then it’s probably OK to buy.

When classes are over, there’s no doubt you’ll want to leave campus as soon as possible to get started on your best break yet. However, nothing is going to ruin the first weekend of break more than if you forgetting something important at school. A foolproof way to make sure that doesn’t happen is simply making a list. Several days before you leave, write down everything you will need to pack for the week away. Cross each item off the list after you pack it to make sure you’ve got everything you think you’ll want. There’s no such thing as being too prepared.

When you finally do leave campus for break, you’ll want to start off with the best attitude possible. Whether the drive to your destination is short or clear across the country, an awesome playlist will not only make the time pass quicker, but it will put you in a great mood. Compile your favorite party songs of the year and burn them to a CD.

If you’re looking to have the best Spring Break yet, these simple tips to prepare will have you in tip-top shape for an excellent break away from school. Just make sure to come back well rested because it will have to hold you over until May term!
