Our View

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who submitted letters to the editor over the last week.

We want to take this time to remind everyone how much we appreciate feedback as a newspaper.

More times than not, we receive feedback about content and other issues the same way we hear about everything else-word of mouth.

Unfortunately, word of mouth often gets distorted by the time the feedback reaches us.

To the people who take the time to submit pieces to us and voice your opinions, your hard work and time to not go underappreciated.

If you want to write a letter to the editor to be run in the paper-here’s our policy. The deadline is every Friday at noon, and you can submit them by emailing [email protected].

If you’d rather email the editor directly with your concerns, you can by emailing [email protected].

All letters, if intended to be run in print, need to be signed and as long as your piece is not libelous or defamatory, we’ll run your letter as soon we can make it fit in the layout.

If for some reason your letter is seen as being libelous or defamatory, you’ll receive a response as to why your letter is not being run.

As we said, we do appreciate your feedback.

It’s good for us to know that our readers are engaging in the paper and voicing their opinions.

Keep it up, we love the letters.
