PRSSA’s Goodwill fashion show

The Public Relations Student Society of America, PRSSA, will be using the Principal Black Box Theater located in Kent Campus Center for their annual Goodwill fashion show this year.

“The goal of the show is to raise donations for Goodwill, while providing students and faculty with some entertainment,” Natalie McCormick, PRSSA President and Admissions Recruitment Undergraduate, said.

The tradition was started by students Emily Salberg and Anthony Warnke, McCormick says.

This year the fashion show will be hosted by Simpson students Mark Lahart, senior, with music providing by Junior Rodriguez “DJ Franchize”, senior. In addition, the Simpson’s Top Model will be chosen by the audience.

“As always, you can expect a humorous, fun and entertaining event full of laughs,” McCormick said.

Models were chosen by the PRSSA members.

“Usually we make a list of students of all ages and in all programs on campus ranging from athletics to theater to music to academic leaders,” McCormick said. “However, there have been instances where models have reached out to us and asked to be a part of the show, and we love that!”

Some of the models include: Erin Webb, Tayler Acton, Kelly Hein and Jordan Parra.

This year the PRSSA members are aiming for around 30 or more student models.

“The final number has not yet been confirmed, but I would assume we will have 20 to 30 models,” McCormick said.

The event will be held on March 21 at 9 p.m. Admission into the show is clothing to be donated to Goodwill.
