Women’s golf holds sixth place heading into 4th round of IIAC championships

DUBUQUE, Iowa – After placing sixth in both of the first two rounds last weekend, women’s golf ends round three on Friday in sixth, shooting a 413 on the day.

Wartburg College continues to separate themselves from the competition, taking a 54-stroke lead into the final round tomorrow. Central maintains their second place position, 58 strokes ahead of Luther College who sits at +207.

Wartburg’s Morgan McMillan is the individual leader shooting a 233 (+18) after three rounds. Wartburg’s five competitors fill five of the top six positions, with Central’s Kelsey Van Tasell the only non-Knight in the top five at tied for second.

Senior Lesley Pearey continues to lead the Storm at 24th out of the 40-player field. Pearey is +60 after three rounds, at 275.

Holly Baioto: 287 (+72) – t-27th

Allison McArtor: 291 (+76) – 29th

Courtney Mabeus: 321 (+106) – t-32nd

The IIAC Championships conclude with round four tomorrow. The first wave of teams tee of at 9 a.m. from Dubuque’s Golf & Country Club.
