The Storm volleyball  season is quickly winding down. The Storm currently holds a record of 10-13, with an IIAC record of 1-4. With only a couple of conference games remaining in their schedule, the Storm hopes to turn things around soon.

The Storm will be playing in the 12th Annual Linda Slagell Dig For The Cure Tournament in Decatur, Illinois on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24 and 25. Junior Katie Kieffer enjoys facing the tough competition in these tournaments.

“There is some tough competition, but at past tournaments we have played extremely well against some of the toughest teams out there. We enjoy playing challenging teams because they push us to always be on our toes and ready to play our best,” she said.

The Linda Slagell Tournament is hosted by Millikin University where Simpson will play Millikin as well as Blackburn, Wheaton and Wisconsin-Platteville. After the tournament, the Storm will have one conference game remaining  on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at Central College. Simpson is competing to make the conference tournament. The Storm is currently in a three-way-tie for the final spot in the conference tournament along with Luther and Loras. They played a big conference game on Oct. 21 against Loras in Cowles.
