Busted!

Two Simpson students have been charged in connection with tworecent dumpster fires – one on campus and another one nearby.

Freshman Jonathan Schueller, 19, and junior Adam Leber werecharged with arson by Indianola police, authorities said. A thirdstudent is suspected, police said, though no arrests had beenannounced as of this week.

Police said Schueller has confessed to setting a dumpster onfire on the Simpson campus at 603 N. Buxton St. in late January.His court date is scheduled for Feb. 20.

Meanwhile, Leber has been charged with setting a dumpster onfire at 500 W. Clinton Ave., near Irving Elementary School.

Simpson officials had no immediate comment on whether Schuelleror Leber are suspected of the recent string of seven dumpster fireson campus dating to last August. The fires have caused thousands ofdollars in damage and led officials to offer a $1,000 reward forinformation leading to suspects in the case.
