You may have seen Dan Carver introducing entertainment at CABsponsored events, giving tours to Simpson hopefuls, serving on theStudent Senate or keeping the residents of first floor Barker inline. If not, you should get out more; he’s everywhere. His heavyinvolvement in campus organizations, impressive academic record, and boyish charm caught our attention here at Flip Side Faces andwe would like to take this time to look a little closer at thisfamiliar face.

Carver is an elementary education major, a resident advisor, astudent senator as well as Student Body Manager of the Senate. Heis president of the Campus Activities Board, an intramural sportsenthusiast, a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, and a Cancer. Whenasked what could possibly inspire him to be so involved in ourcampus, Dan replied, “I want to meet as many of the people atSimpson College as possible and getting involved seemed like a goodway do that.” He also said, “I want to be a part of everyoneenjoying their Simpson experience as much as possible.” What aguy.

Carver manages to maintain an excellent grade point. Hismembership in the collegiate honor society Alpha Lambda Delta isevidence of his dedication to education. However, don’t think for aminute that Dan is all work and no play. His friends characterizeCarver as, “easygoing, funny, and an all around good guy.” Nexttime you see Dan stop and say hi, but tell him to get somesleep.
