Beginning next fall, Simpson’s men’s and women’s soccer teams will be coached by separate head coaches.

According to Athletic Director John Sirianni, the decision was made at the conclusion of this year’s season.

“We have to decide what is best for both teams,” Sirianni said.

Sirianni said neither he nor his office could confirm any of the rumors about Coach Aziz Haffar resigning.

Sirianni’s only comment about whether Haffar and Assistant Coach Cory Chapman would be coaching next year, was that there are still a lot of decisions to be made.

Haffar and Chapman declined to comment.
