As a Simpson student, I feel part of a collective, but I find myself alone on weekends. Is there any possible chance of setting up some sort of formal dating service on campus to help me meet eligible women?

Well, of all the things Simpson does, finding you a date for Friday night is not one of them. I can’t believe you find yourself alone on the weekends. There is a lot going on on campus – you just need to become more involved. Join one or more of the many campus organizations and meet new people.

If you do this, I guarantee you will find a lot of eligible women and you’ll probably find someone who shares your interests. For example, if you’re into politically charged women, join the College Republicans or Democrats. If you want someon more spiritual, try one of the many groups in the Religous Life Community. Not to mention that by joining different organizations on campus you’ll also become a more well-rounded individual.

You will never meet women by simply sitting in your room. They aren’t going to come to you. Another option is to try the old-fashioned approach and head out on the town to meet people.

The main point is that you need to get out more. Will all the women you meet be available? No. But you never know, you might just make a new friend or two.

Dating service, shmating shmervice. There’s no need to go through all that trouble only to look desperate. Just take a look around you – the ladies are everywhere. After all, the ratio of guys to girls on this campus is like one to three. Didn’t they tell you that on your tour? Seriously though, there are plenty of ways to meet single women who are cute, funny and intelligent.

First get a wing-man because picking up girls is a two-man operation. You get the girl, he takes the roommate. He takes the hit now, you help him later. Secondly, you and your wing-man need to join a student organization. Whether it’s political, social or athletic – just join. Simpson girls like to be involved so you should be too. Plus, the girls you meet will have similar interests, thus prolonging the love. That’s what it’s all about, right?

Lastly don’t focus on what you don’t have, focus on what you’ve got. You’ve got a friend who’s willing to be your wing-man no matter what organization you drag him too, no matter what that roommate looks like. It won’t take long for the ladies to notice that you must be a great guy to have such a good friend.
