Victor’s Sports Club

Whether you’re looking for a place to watch the game, stay updated on scores around the league, just want to relax and shoot the breeze with friends or all of the above, look no further than Victor’s Sports Club. Victor’s, locally owned and operated, is located on 7500 Douglas Ave. in Urbandale.

Victor’s offers a fun and lively atmosphere. You can simply order food from their extensive menu, meet up with friends for a drink at the bar or watch multiple sporting events on the many TVs throughout the restaurant. Victor’s provides a sports-like atmosphere with the sporting events shown on the TVs and the different team jerseys hanging on the walls.

The menu offers many appetizers with a choice of your favorite dip. I highly recommend their homemade onion rings, which come in a full or half order and cheese balls.

Their sandwiches are labeled with different sports terms like Reverse Lay-Up, The Double Header, and The Tackle. If a sandwich or hamburger isn’t your style, Victor’s also offers a selection of soups and salads. Cheesecake is offered for dessert and one of Victor’s many daily specials is a featured cheesecake of the day. Other specials, such as $2 hamburgers, are also featured.

The appetizers were filling and hit the spot right away. The sandwiches were also delicious and you were able to choose between crinkle fries [regular fries], buffalo fries [seasoned disc-shaped fries] or seasoned potato wedges to accompany your sandwich.

The service was very friendly and fast. We were waited upon right away and our bill came promptly at the end of our meal and the food came out hot and ready to eat.

Victor’s definitely gets five out of five stars.
