Nate Chua is the new Station Square resident area coordinator at Simpson. Chua started his job here in late July 2006.

His main areas of concentration are the Greek housing and campus-owned apartments, and his office is located in Student Development in the BSC. His job contains many aspects, from processing general facilities issues and working with the residence hall programming, to overseeing his own staff.

“My job also involves a lot of e-mail checking” Chua said. “I have staff in each building, and they generally report back to me that way.”

Chua is originally from Marshalltown and completed his undergraduate education at Creighton University in Omaha with a degree in psychology.

He then went on to receive a master’s from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX. Although Chua has only been working at Simpson for a short time, he really enjoys the campus.

“One of my favorite things about Simpson are the people I work with, both the full-time faculty and student staff,” Chua said. “The transition from Texas to Iowa was very easy, and the people at Simpson have helped with that. They are very friendly and easy to work with.”
