The Indianola Police Department wrapped up its investigation of an alleged sexual assault on Simpson’s campus without filing any charges.

According to the police report, IPD was contacted by Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines on Feb. 11 regarding a claim of sexual assault occurring at ATO.

After conducting an investigation that included written reports and videotaped interviews, IPD submitted its findings to the Warren County Attorney’s Office, which decided not to file charges.

“We are done with that case on two fronts,” said Chief Steve Bonnett. “Number one, the victim said she no longer wishes to pursue charges. Number two, upon completion it was submitted to the county attorney, and they said there were insufficient grounds to proceed.”
