Men’s Cross Country

5th @ IIAC Championship (142), Oct. 27: Junior Eric Osterhaus finished in seventh (26:27) to pace the Storm. He was awarded All-Conference honors.

Women’s Cross Country

5th @ IIAC Championship (104), Oct. 27: Freshman Catie Ellingson was the top performer for Simpson, placing 10th (23:47) and being awarded All-Conference honors.

Football 3-5, 2-4 IIAC)

L 41-5 @ Wartburg, Oct. 27: The No. 17/19 Knights out-gained the Storm 459-157 on offense. Senior kicker Bill Nelson connected on a 37-yard field goal in the second quarter, providing Simpson’s only offensive points of the game.

Men’s Soccer (3-13-1, 3-5 IIAC)

L 5-0 @ Wartburg, Oct. 27: Sophomore goalkeeper Jeremy Ward made a career-high 14 saves as the Knights out-shot the Storm 30-14.

Women’s Soccer (5-9-1, 2-5-1 IIAC)

L 5-0 @ Wartburg, Oct. 27: Junior goalkeeper Whitney Franker recorded 10 saves as Warburg out-shot Simpson 31-8.

Women’s Tennis (7-11, 5-4 IIAC)

L 5-0 vs. Wartburg @ IIAC Team Tournament, Oct. 19: The No. 5 Storm fell to the No. 4 Knights in the tournament’s opening round.

L 5-1 vs. Cornell @ IIAC Team Tournament, Oct. 20: Simpson fell to Cornell in the fifth-place match. Sophomore Alissa Nance posted the Storm’s lone victory in the match.

Women’s Swimming(0-2, 0-2 IIAC)

L 133-60 vs. Coe, L 195-25 vs. Luther, Oct. 27: Simpson fell in an IIAC double dual at Cedar Rapids. Junior Melody Burgus had the Storm’s best finish, placing third in the 500 freestyle.

Volleyball (19-12, 4-3 IIAC)

2-2 @ Whitewater Invitational, Oct. 26-27: Simpson knocked off UW-Platteville (3-1) and Lakeland (3-0), while falling to Stevens Institute (3-2) and No. 7 UW-Whitewater (3-0).
