The recent Disney computer-animated film, “Bee Movie,” came out this past weekend with high anticipation from kids and adults alike. The film, which ended in second place at the box office behind the new Denzel Washington flick “American Gangster,” is about a young worker bee who wants more out of life.

The film, starring voices of Jerry Seinfeld, Renee Zellweger, Matthew Broderick, Chris Rock and John Goodman was very fun, and at some points a little odd. But, overall, this film really lets people know why Disney is the master of animated films.

The film tells the story of a recent college graduate bee who is an active part of his community. Barry, Seinfeld, is excited to move on to the next step of his life, but when he goes to pick a job at the hive, Honex, he realizes that one of these jobs will be what he does for the rest of his life.

Not satisfied, Barry decides to take a day with the aviation experts of the hive who go out into the world and collect nectar and spread the process of pollination to other plants and flowers.

As a result of his journey and a crazy game of tennis, Barry is rescued from death by a caring florist. Barry later breaks all the rules of being a bee and speaks to the woman, Vanessa, Zellweger, and they together begin a crazy adventure against the people who exploit honey and what bees do for a living.

After a win in the Supreme Court and bees not working for a while, Barry soon realizes that the world needs honey and bees and a bee is supposed to work.

As we have seen in recent animated films, including “Shrek”, “Cars”, and “The Incredibles”, “Bee Movie” once again appeals to audiences of all ages.

Overall, the animation of the film was right on and it really showed how far technology has come over the years. There was a very open use of the colors black and yellow, bee colors, and it really made the movie buzz with the audience.

Everything was in black and yellow; from the clothes to the accessories to the furniture in the bee’s homes. In the world the movie creates, everything revolves around what it means to be a bee.

Overall, I think the film was very interesting and kept me very interested. The graphics and animation were amazing and it is also the reason why people always turn out for Disney films. I would have to say that I give this film 9.5 out of 10 stars.
