“New Moon,” the second of four movies based on a book series by Stephenie Meyer opens in theaters tomorrow. The first movie took America, and Indianola, by storm. For those who aren’t familiar with the series or haven’t watched the first film recently, here’s the need-to-know info.

‘Twilight’

The four-part series begins with 17-year-old Bella Swan moving to Forks, Wash., to live with her father. She meets a mysterious boy, Edward Cullen. With the help of her friend, Jacob Black, she later finds out that Edward is a vampire. She decides she doesn’t care that Edward isn’t a human and goes on to date him. Later in the movie, the Cullens and Bella run into James, a fellow vampire, and his clan. James smells Bella’s scent and begins tracking her. The movie ends with Bella and James getting into a dramatic battle. Edward and the rest of the Cullens step in to rescue her.

The second movie starts with Edwards and Bella together. After a fiasco with the Cullens, Edward breaks up with Bella to ensure her safety. He then is out of the picture for a lot of this film. Bella becomes best friends with Jacob, who turns out to be a werewolf, but has continuing premonitions of Edward. The vampire’s sister Alice has a vision and sees in the future that Bella will end up dead. Edward sees no point in living without Bella and goes to Italy to die at the hands of the Volturi, who are the evil vampire leaders.
