Storm men’s soccer fly past Eagles, 5-0

Simpson men’s soccer won comfortably Tuesday night, as they beat the AIB Eagles 6-1.

The game was controlled by the Storm as they scored two goals in the first, then the other four in the second.

Louis Joslyn scored twice for the Storm upping his total goals for the season to four.

Pat Alt, Cameron Wright, Spencer Cook, and Tyler Neumann also added one goal apiece.

The Eagles’ only goal came from Renato Firmento in the 85th minute.

The win brought the Storm to a 10-6-1 record as the Eagles fell to 7-10 on the season.

Goalkeepers Luke Aronow, Zach McEntee, and Ryan Shabal split time. Aronow recorded one save in 45 minutes of play, McEntee ended with three saves in 38 minutes of play, and Shabal had zero saves and allowed one goal.

The Storm had 19 total shots putting nine on goal. AIB had 12 total shots putting five on goal.

The Storm’s next game is against ex-conference rival Cornell College this Wednesday, then back into conference play on Saturday as they take on the Loras Duhawks.
